Mounira Chaieb is a mentor/trainer with the ALC on strategic communication in leadership, peace and security. She’s been mentoring fellows since 2013. She’s also Editor & Presenter on ALC Radio. Ms. Chaieb has over twenty years as a journalist with the BBC as a Trainer, Editor, Reporter, Presenter and Producer. She has tackled issues related to the ‘Arab Spring, Human Rights, Women’s issues, Political Islam, African immigration to Europe, relations between North Africa and Africa south of the Sahara and much more. She moved around various departments of the BBC and in the African service, she worked on Focus on Africa, Network Africa, and African perspectives. As a Senior Trainer, Ms. Chaieb was part of the team that trained new journalists joining the newly launched BBC Arabic and Persian TV stations and other departments on different skills of broadcast journalism and editorial guidelines.
