    This is a recording of Prof. Funmi Olonisakin inaugural lecture that she delivered on 9th of July 2018 at Kings College London. In this lecture, titled Leadership and Conversation in Dialogue: Securing Peace in the Unromantic Context Prof. Funmi noted that the pursuit of stable peace in conflict-torn societies needs to put into account leadership dynamics in these contexts.

    Prof. Funmi argued that understanding the predominant situation, the domain and society levels in which leadership emerges, and the quality of leadership process particularly how influence is exchanged between leaders and followers is important in building a shared response to the situation.

    Prof. Funmi Olonisakin is a Professor of Security, Leadership & Development at the University and is internationally renowned for her passion and expertise in the area of effective leadership in peace building and security.
